In sport- Manchester United lose  3-1 to Paris Saint Jermain in the Champions league, Dundalk’s Europa League journey continues tonight and in GAA Shane Fives is fit to start for Waterford for their All Ireland Senior hurling final against Limerick.

On the Neil Prendeville show Neil spoke with Peter who is looking for information on his mother Josephine from Midleton who spent time in Bessborough. She had Peter in a mother and baby home in Dublin. He told Neil his mother was committed to Our Lady’s Lunatic Asylum in Cork. She had mild epilepsy and died on 7/12/67.

In News- Public health experts say that Ireland should consider reintroducing compulsory quarantining for people flying into the country and the Government are to put raising of the pension age on hold.

In sport- Cork Goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher had a big role to play as Liverpool qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League on Tuesday night and Wednesday nights biggest games.

On the Neil Prendeville show- Chris Crowley, the manager of The Anglers Bar and Restaurant in Carrigrohane spoke to Neil after they were inundated with 600 email bookings for their reopening.

In News- Shops, gyms, hairdressers and places of worship are all set to open today as level 5 restrictions are lifted, and almost 500 jobs are at risk in Ireland after Topshop owner Arcadia went into administration.

In sport- West Ham Utd’s win over Aston Villa last night has been them move up on the Premier League table while Fulham have moved out of the bottom 3. Tonight Liverpool face Ajax, whilstMan city face Porto in the Champions League.

On the Neil Prendeville Show- Seamus Whelehan was out in Corkcity for the show this morning as Ireland moved into Level 3 allowing manybusinesses and retail units to reopen their doors to the public.

The principal of a Glanmire primary school says an outbreak of Covid 19 at the school could have been avoided and Gardai are investigating the death of a man in an industrial accident on the northside of Cork City.

In sport- Ireland head coach Andy Farrell says Cork Con’s Shane Daly is more than deserving of his first cap against Georgia on Sunday, Diego Maradona has been laid to rest in a private ceremony in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires and Cork teenager Aaron Hill is out of the UK championship.

On the Neil Prendeville show ‘Diana and Aidan Pinto in Midleton are off to Dublin today as Aidan is making an appearance on The Late Late Toy Show. He is a toy tester for this year’s show and he will be showing some toys and a Thomas The Tank Engine.

In the Neil Prendeville Show – Ali Hamou spoke to Neil this morning about the anti-social behaviour on Grand Parade Saturday night while out working and volunteering. He said there were large crowds and Gardaí were chasing a group of teens. He videoed the street on Saturday night on social media.
