In News – There are fears Ireland could lose another bank and the National Public Health Emergency Team have praised the efforts of the public. In News- Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment say they are closely watching the passage of an application through the courts by Indaver and Ireland’s first tubing park is set to open in Rosscarbery in a matter of weeks. In Sport- Pep Guardiola is happy his side Man City have overcome a mental barrier to reach the Champions League semi-finals and the Ireland team to face France in the Women’s Six Nations will be named this afternoon. On Neil Prendeville show- Neil looked at how locals, business owners and visitors are enjoying Clonakilty now that the 5km restriction has been lifted.

In News- Residents in East Cork are opposed to plans for running the cable for the Celtic Interconnector project past their homes and the Taoiseach is to meet with the HSE and the vaccine task force later to discuss altering the country’s Covid 19 vaccine programme. In Sport- Liverpool are looking to progress to the Champions League finals and the Ireland’s Women’s Six Nations game with France lies in the balance. On the Neil Prendeville show Dr John Sheehan spoke to Neil about the vaccine roll out and the current situation surrounding the AstraZeneca Jab.

In News – All AstraZeneca vaccination clinics due to take place today have been cancelled and a 52 year-old Cork woman who fraudulently claimed €69,000 in carers allowance has been remanded on bail. In Sport- Ireland Women’s Rugby star Beibhinn Parsons said the support they have received this week has been phenomenal and in the Champions league Quarter final second legs Chelsea have a 2-0 lead over Porto heading into tonight’s game. On the Neil Prendeville show- Grainne spoke to Neil about being shocked when her Doctor called her ‘fat.’

In News- People can travel outside their 5km from today with the easing of level five restrictions however they are being asked to continue to work from home. In Sport- Japan’ Hideki Matsuyama won the masters by a single shot at Augusta and Cork’s Fintan McCarthy and Paul O’Donovan combined to win gold for Ireland in the final of the lightweight men’s double sculls. On the Neil Prendeville show – Denis spoke to Neil about the kidnap of his dog while they were out on a walk yesterday. Luckily ‘Rocco’ was returned safely later that evening.

In News- A Cork Garda is recovering in hospital this morning after being injured carrying out a search of a car yesterday and Debenhams workers are marking one year since they lost their jobs in the city. In Sport- Cork City are looking to get back to winning ways as they host Athlone at Turners Cross, while Cobh Ramblers head to Limerick to face Treaty United in the SSE Airtricity First division. On the Neil Prendeville show- Neil spoke to Paul Byrne From Virgin Media News about a story from overnight involving an injured Garda in West Cork.

In News – A man who allegedly attempted to rob a shop in the city armed with a syringe will appear in court today and Gardaí have issued fines to 30 people who attended a house party in the city on Tuesday night. In Sport- A number of high profiled Dublin footballers took part in a collective training session yesterday in breach of Covid regulations and Northern Ireland are without an international win since October 2019. In News – Cork Business Association is to seek clarity from the Government on the future plans for outdoor dining and there’s frustration with the lack of a plan for the opening of Pubs and the retail sector also. In News- The cabinet will decide on easing restrictions tomorrow following a meeting of the National Public Health Emergency Team and the pandemic has given people more time to think about their job, according to a new survey. In Sport- Munster’s JJ Hanrahan is to join Clermont Auvergne at the end of the season and Ireland boss Stephen Kenny still has the backing of the FAI despite Ireland’s shock loss to Luxemburg on Saturday . On the Neil Prendeville show- Michael O’Donovan, the Vintners Chairperson in Cork spoke to Neil about comments made on Friday’s Six One news that suggested pubs were partly to blame for Covid figures.

In News – A Kinsale woman who stole over €6,000 from a woman who moved to the area from the UK has been handed a four month suspended sentence and the long running battle between UCC and the ESB will go to the High Court to settle a liability claim related to severe flooding in Cork City in 2009. In Sport- Cork City manager Colin Healy says he is expecting a very tough battle against Cobh Ramblers tonight and the deciding game of this years Six Nations takes place as France take on Scotland in Paris.
