In News – The HSE is dealing with the fallout from a major cyber attack today and four fishermen had a lucky escape when their trawler caught fire off the coast of Cork in the early hours of Friday morning. In News- The Tánaiste says a Covid vaccine could be offered to everyone that wants one by the end of June and a calls been to give wedding couples clarity on the easing of restrictions for the remainder of the summer. In News- It’s hoped reforms to the insurance sector will be fully implemented within the next 12 months and the cost of renting has doubled in the past 10 years. In Sport- Cork City manager Colin Healy has challenged his side to build on their win over Wexford last weekend and it’s been confirmed that this year’s Munster Hurling championship will begin on Sunday 27th of June. In News- A man remains in Garda custody following a stabbing in the City yesterday and the Government is being encouraged to bring in new laws to protect workers when firms go out of business. In Sport- Cork manager Ronan McCarthy’s 12 week ban is to end on Thursday and in golf Dustin Johnson has opted to skip this week’s Byron Nelson Classic due to knee discomfort. In News- A Cork hairdresser says he’s booked out until June and will be working until midnight many nights to try and clear the backlog and Gardai arrested eight adults and a juvenile for questioning following an incident where it was reported shots were fired in a housing estate in the Ravensdale Close area of Mahon. In Sport- The Six Nations looks set to remain on free to air on TV in Ireland and Rory McIlroy is back in to the top 10 of world rankings after his first win in 18 months. On the Neil Prendeville show- Neil spoke to Paul Byrne from Virgin Media News, about the feud in Mahon yesterday that saw at least one gun shot fired.

In News- The Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan says it’s time for people to be optimistic and start planning for the summer and Pieta House says they are hopeful the success of last year’s Darkness Into Light event can be replicated tomorrow morning. In Sport- Cork City boss Colin Healy wants to see an improvement from his side this evening as they host Wexford at home and Cobh Ramblers look to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Galway United. In News- A Cork TD has described plans to cap the price of affordable homes in Cork City at €400,000 as “a sick joke” and ESB network technicians are out on the picket line today. In Sport- Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says tonight’s Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid will be a fascinating tactical battle and Castlehaven and Nemo Rangers will meet in the 2020 Premier Senior football championship in August as last year’s final was postponed. In News- Locals in West Cork and Douglas are coming to terms with the tragic death of a young man who died in a fall near Garrettstown beach on Saturday night and Level five Covid restrictions are easing today.
